Finally, after several times goggling in KL, I’ve managed to get hold of this film's OST. It's pretty good soundtrack. I've been goggling for information about the band or singer that appeared on the OST. Pretty impressive I might say. From the very 1st time I watched the movie, I was impressed with the songs appeared in the movie. It's not the usual suspects from indon band such as padi, beras, dewa, dewi, gigi, and gusi or peter hong. It's the other side of indon music scene. Now I can enjoy the quirky, eclectic & punkish songs that accompany the funny scenes in the movie... yeaa.. hehe...
On a more serious note... I’ve managed to watch a so called "forum" on the telly about Yasmin Ahmad’s movies titled Sepet & Gubra: Pencemar Budaya? Is it that really bad? I really can't understand why the Malay mainstream media player do not like at all these two movies... Why o why I might ask? Is it that bad? Or our society is so shallow in digesting its content? Is it that heavy for our society at large to really understand it? Is it that bad? The movie or our society understanding to be blame at? Which one do you choose? For sure, I really enjoyed her movie. Really am. Thanks Yasmin for your good effort. Your movies are like a fresh breath in the so polluted movie industry that contains a lot of junk rather than substance & reality. Our country needs this breath of fresh air. Keep on rocking in the so shallow world of a country called Malaysia. Like the famous rock snob, Barry said in High Fidelity "If they can't take it, let them riot because we're called the Sonic Death Monkey".
