smells like teen spirit...

Yesterday, I watched a film by Gus Van Sant about the last days of Kurt Cobain. Remember? The "I’m not a boy, not yet a front man of the biggest band" that changed the face of music not so long ago... remember the good old time. Hmmm... When you're first exposed to the rock & roll 101 especially the generations X. It was "like a virgin" kinda situation. Remember Brian? The movie portrays the last couple hours of the troubled but genius musician (they said so at the back of the dvd, not me emmkayy!) It's not the best movie that I watched this year. I’ve seen way better ones such as Oldboy (Korean), Purple Butterfly (China), Sepet, Strange Garden (French), Dog Day Afternoon, Elizabethtown, Spanish Apartment (French), Janji Jonie (Indon), The Machinist, Cinema Paradiso, Crash, Beautiful Washing Machine and many other movies that I can’t remember the title (I’ve got to jot down all the movie that I watched plus the cd’s that I bought). As for the sound of music, this year I’ve been listening to Kaiser Chiefs (Employment), Sigur Ros (Takk), Tindersticks (Simple Pleasure), Beck (Sea change), T-Rex (Electric Warrior), Blur (The Great Escape), Death Cab For Cutie (Plans) and lots of back catalogue stuffs plus the stuff that jeppp, xuess, aieee, ina san & jo kasikk. The new sound for this year is not as exciting as last year list. Damn. On the other note of my so called life… this year had been remarkable, wonderful & bittersweet for me personally. I’ve met with some wonderful friends and lost some ;-) Quite a number of my good friends had settle down notably xuess, rimi, abaas & nahar a.k.a setan. I’ve enjoyed lots of new things this year… especially the trip back to KL, the loft session (finally), the makan kambing session, the setanbuck session, the nasik kandar beratur session (finally again), the "piknik & berkelah" session, the kill time session, the crazy fight with xuess & aiee session, the Induksi & BTN session, the abg botak session, the haegan dazz session and etc. Personally, me wish next year will be much more fun, joyful, wonderful, bittersweet and whole lots of apa apa jeee laaahhh…;-) Like puteri said, janji enjoyyyyyyy… yeaa… just do it people… do it... do it... do it laaaaa... hehehe...
ps: happy new year everybody ;-)

I don't understand your obsession with the late Kurt Cobain, he was not really that great. If he were, then how do you explain the fact that the great music critic, Saw Swee Jin, doesn't own a copy of any Nirvana's album? He is just a hype who betrayed the alternative scene and turned them to the shameful tag of modern rock.
